Shopping on-line
We actively encourage all of our customers to use our on-line shopping system as it represents a fast and efficient method of placing orders and arranging payment. Our web site is designed to make it easy for you to find the right products, check that they suit your requirements, and provide us with all the information we need to process and ship your order, which we will typically do within 24 hours. We will send you an email as soon as you confirm your order, and may contact you further by phone or email if there are any questions.
Finding products
There are several ways to browse products, the easiest of which is by using the navigation menus down the left hand side of the page. Depending on your needs you can find products either by type, application area or manufacturer. The 'Shop' section offers further clarification on what types of products lie within each category. Alternatively, if you know more specific information about the type of product you are looking for you can use the 'Search' box located in the top right hand corner of the page.
Each product has a detailed description and photo, often with more in-depth information available in a 'More info' section, complete with links to manufacturer web sites and more technical information.
To add a product to your order, simply click on the 'Buy' button. You may wish to review the daily stock status information to check the product's availability, or contact us for accurate and up-to-date stock information.
Quantity pricing
We offer competitive quantity pricing discounts on many product lines, and these are displayed on our web site and applied automatically to your order as it proceeds. You can review the items and prices in your order by clicking on the 'View Trolley' link at the top of the page. You can change the quantity of a particular product ordered by entering the new quantity in the box provided and clicking on the 'Adjust' button on this page. If you require pricing for higher quantities, please contact us directly to discuss your needs.
Product Photography
Often times the same smartcard may be manufactured by several different vendors. Because of this the products pictured on our website may vary slightly from the product you receive in appearance only. The products will always function the same and have the same dimensions as stated in the product description despite this variance in physical appearance.

Payment options
You can pay for your order online using most credit or debit cards, via our secure payment processor. To ensure fast and successful processing of your payment, please make sure that you enter accurate information, including the billing address for the card if this is different from the delivery address. Your card will be charged in US$.
Alternatively, you can choose to pay by bank transfer, sometimes known as paying by pro-forma invoice. In this case we will send you an email after confirming your order, containing instructions for making the payment. Wherever possible, we will reserve your goods for 14 days and we will ship them as soon as we receive the funds in our bank. Please note that, when using this method of payment, it is important that you ensure that all associated bank charges are paid by you, since we are unable to release goods if charges are deducted from your payment, which sometimes happens on international bank transactions.

Shipping options
Service options
We ship most items from our warehouse in the UK.
Depending on the weight and destination of an order, we will offer you our best available 'Delivered At Place' shipping rates. Where there are alternative services available, a choice will be shown. The shipping charge will reflect the costs to us, unless we are offering a free shipping promotion to your destination. In exceptional circumstances we may use alternative shipping services to those shown, to achieve the desired shipping times, but without increasing charges.
For very heavy orders the shipping charge may not be displayed automatically, and we will advise you of the charges after receiving your order.
You can also choose to use your own shipping company (such as FedEx or DHL) by providing your courier account information. We do not make any additional charge for this option, but we cannot guarantee to always be able to book a shipment onto your account.
Order processing and dispatch times
We will make all reasonable efforts to process and dispatch your order by the next business day, as long as all items are in stock and our security checks have been completed successfully.
This may be affected by local and international conditions outside of our control.
Transit times and tracking
This is the time required by the shipping company to get an order to its destination after it has been dispatched by us. You will be sent shipment tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
Note that transit times shown are the typical transit times for that service, and for some outlying and hard to reach locations actual times may be longer.

Set the 'When are you shipping' date to the next business day to take account of typical order processing and dispatch times, then press the 'Update' button. Liability
In no event shall we be liable for any losses incurred due to delay in delivery.
The shipping services we offer are 'Delivered At Place' services (DAP Incoterm), and shipments may be subject to customs checks and additional duties.

Sales tax & duty information
Sales Tax
Our business is based in California and we therefore comply with US and California sales tax requirements. Depending on the destination to which we are delivering the goods, your order will taxed as follows:
Orders delivered within California
We charge sales tax at the prevailing rate on your total order value. If available in the list of destinations, please select the correct county from the list (eg LA County).
Orders delivered within Illinois
We charge sales tax at the prevailing rate on your total order value.
Orders delivered within Washington State
We charge sales tax at the prevailing rate on your total order value.
Orders delivered within Minnesota
We charge sales tax at the prevailing rate on your total order value. If available in the list of destinations, please select the correct county from the list (eg Carver County or Washington County).
Orders delivered to other US states and outside the USA
We do not charge sales tax on your order.
Customs duty
We have many years of experience shipping thousands of orders around the world and providing the necessary documentation to accompany international shipments.
Since we ship most items from the UK, shipments are subject to the usual international rules on customs duty. Depending on the destination, value, and type of products, you may have to pay import duty before being able to take delivery of an order. Note that this is an additional cost that you must bear as an importer. In some cases, our shipping company may pay these charges on your behalf. In this situation we reserve the right to charge any customs duties or local sales taxes incurred in this manner back to you.
Many of the items we sell are covered by free trade agreements, except for goods of Chinese origin entering the United States, where a 25% tariff may apply. However we cannot offer advice on individual tariffs or whether you will be liable in any instance.

Returns and cancellations
If an item is incorrect, damaged or faulty on arrival, or develops a fault covered by the manufacturer's warranty, we will, at our option, replace, repair or refund the purchase price of the item, in accordance with terms below.
Items correctly supplied, can be returned and will be refunded, provided they are returned undamaged and in accordance with terms below. We do not refund postage costs.
To cancel an order prior to dispatch, please first inform us via email that you wish to do so, quoting your original order number and order date. We will then advise you by return email whether we are able to accept your cancellation request, and provide you with details of what steps to take.
We cannot accept returns or cancellations for software products where the item has been opened, serial numbers have been issued or software licenses activated. We also cannot accept returns of any recordable media including smartcards since they cannot be resold.
To return an item please inform us via email within 14 days of delivery, or for warranty returns within the manufacturer's warranty period, quoting your original order number and order date, and we will advise you by return email what steps to take. Once you have received details of how to make a return, the return must be made within 14 days. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us, unless they arrived damaged, faulty or in error.
