This version of the ACOS3 card from ACS is a dual interface microprocessor smartcard with 8K bytes of EEPROM memory. The high degree of security enabled by this card allows users to consider loyalty programs, identification, e-Purse and access control applications, especially when used alongside the ACOS6 Security Authentication Module (SAM).

ISO 14443 and ISO 7816 compliant, the ACOS3 dual interface microprocessor card boasts a high-speed transmission rate of up to 848 Kbps for contactless and up to 223.2 Kbps for contact applications. Featuring enhanced functions including secure messaging, mutual authentication, session key generation, secret codes and anti-tearing mechanism, this card is especially designed for highly secure payment applications.
